🗓️ Project Date: April 29, 2025
📍 Location: Karnak District Shelter Center, El Fasher, Sudan
🧾 Overview:
In response to escalating violence and the forced displacement of thousands from Zamzam Camp, GlobalNetPD launched a multi-dimensional humanitarian intervention in El Fasher, supported by the TikTok Youth Initiative – “Ms. Arafa Platform.” The project delivered culturally appropriate food baskets to 500 displaced families residing at the Karnak Shelter Center and integrated recreational and emotional support activities—especially for children, women, and the elderly, who are among the most vulnerable to psychological trauma.
đź’ˇ Why It Matters:
When families flee with nothing, their needs go far beyond food. Trauma, grief, and fear weigh heavily on caregivers and children alike. As shelter centers like Karnak absorb more escapees from camps under attack—such as Abu Shouk, Naivasha, and Zamzam—the emotional pressure grows. Food alone cannot restore hope. Emotional healing is just as urgent. This project was designed to address both the visible and invisible wounds of war.
🛠️ What We Did:
- Distributed food baskets with essential staples to 500 families affected by recent attacks and forced displacement
- Organized child-friendly recreational activities to help children process trauma through laughter and play
- Facilitated small group support sessions for mothers, caregivers, and elders focused on emotional resilience
- Coordinated with local volunteers and field teams to ensure respectful, safe, and inclusive delivery
- Responded to urgent calls from shelter leaders to meet the rising humanitarian demands in El Fasher

🌱 The Impact:
The project nourished both body and spirit. For hundreds of families who had fled burned villages and bombarded camps, it provided more than meals—it provided dignity, emotional relief, and a renewed sense of being seen. As one mother shared, “This food helped us eat. But the way you treated us—with kindness and joy—that is what gave us strength to keep going.” This initiative is a clear example of GlobalNetPD’s belief that recovery must be holistic—reaching not only stomachs, but hearts.
