🧾 Witnessing a Humanitarian Catastrophe
Since June 2024, the Global Network for Peace and Development (GlobalNetPD) has been carrying out its humanitarian mission inside El-Fasher and nearby displacement camps—especially Zamzam Camp—without interruption.
Our teams have lived the crisis firsthand, sharing the suffering of civilians day by day, even under siege. Despite immense danger, they continued to deliver aid, provide food, and support the most vulnerable families.
Tragically, several of our brave volunteers lost their lives while serving others. Yet their sacrifice strengthened our resolve to stay present, to assist, and to bear witness.
Our Emergency Response
During the 18-month siege, GlobalNetPD implemented lifesaving initiatives aimed at alleviating hunger and despair among women, children, people with disabilities, and the elderly.
Key actions included:
- Operating community kitchens to prepare collective meals for displaced families.
- Distributing food baskets to households trapped by conflict.
- Delivering psychosocial and social support programs to children and women facing trauma and displacement.
These efforts were made possible through cooperation with local and diaspora initiatives, including:
TikTok Youth Initiative (via Ms. Arefa Jali), Sudanese Women Pioneers, Abu Rahaf Platform, and the generosity of Mr. Faisal Hussein of Birmingham, UK, whose contribution supported the El-Fasher humanitarian drive.
Our Board of Directors extends heartfelt gratitude to all Sudanese and international supporters who helped save tens of thousands of lives threatened by hunger and siege.
Beyond El-Fasher
Our humanitarian work has also reached other parts of North Darfur, including Tawila, Tina, Bir Mazza, Orshi, and Arori, where families fled to mountains and valleys seeking safety.
GlobalNetPD continues to coordinate with community networks to deliver aid wherever civilians remain in crisis.
Condemning Atrocities and Violations
The organization strongly condemns the horrific acts of violence and gross human-rights violations committed against innocent civilians following the fall of El-Fasher.
These crimes represent flagrant breaches of international humanitarian law and the most basic human values. Justice and accountability for the victims are non-negotiable.
GlobalNetPD calls for:
- Immediate opening of safe humanitarian corridors to allow civilians to evacuate safely.
- Unrestricted delivery of food, medicine, and emergency aid to those in need.
- Removal of all barriers preventing civilians from leaving the besieged areas.
- Implementation of the principle of non-impunity, ensuring legal accountability for perpetrators of war crimes and atrocities.
- Urgent protection of civilians through the effective enforcement of UN Security Council Resolution 2736.
We stand in full solidarity with the families of the victims, the missing, and the survivors.
May mercy be upon the martyrs, and healing upon the wounded.
Appeal to the International Community
GlobalNetPD urges international and regional actors to assume their moral, legal, and humanitarian responsibilities toward the people of Darfur and all displaced Sudanese.
We call upon humanitarian and charitable organizations to expand psychosocial and social-protection programs for those traumatized by violence and forced displacement.
